G.711 Speech Vocoder Software (G.711 Speech/ Audio Codec Software)
Floreat G.711 speech vocoder software implements the ITU-T G.711 recommendation. The G.711 speech codec software uses Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) scheme operating at 8 KHz sample rate, with 8-bits per sample to compress and decompress analog speech, which allows it to be transmitted and received as binary data. The G.711 Speech vocoder software performs both A-law and µ-law encoding and decoding, and operates at 64 Kbps.
G.711 is an international standard for encoding telephone audio on 64 Kbps channel and it is widely used in telephone networks.
Floreat G.711 A-law/ µ-law software can be integrated with Floreat’s other fax, telephony, speech compression, VoIP, FoIP, DSVD, imaging and video software for various applications. G.711 audio codec software is supported on various DSPs and processors as well as offered in ANSI C.
