Floreat’s integrated Voice over IP and Fax over IP software solution (FloVFoIP) is implemented as a product that utilizes Floreat’s VoIP and FoIP frameworks. The block diagram describing this architecture is shown below.
Floreat software architecture is geared towards operating on platforms that supports SLIC interface or other audio interfaces and Ethernet interface.
The audio interfaces are responsible for providing/sending data and signaling information from/to the FXS ports and communicating with the FloVFoIP media engine via buffers. The audio interfaces are hardware dependant and depend upon the devices (codec’s, SLIC etc.). A separate framework exists to handle control information (SIP and PSTN signaling information) and accordingly process FloVFoIP Media engine API’s to do the necessary voice processing.
Using Voice-Fax Discrimination software, the incoming call is treated either as a fax call or a voice call.
